THE BREASTSTROKE WILL GIVE WAY TO THE PLIE THIS FALL WHEN STUDENTS BEGIN TO USE THE old Kenyon Hall pool, pictured above, not for swimming but for dancing. The Frances Daly Fergusson Dance Theater, dedicated in May and made possible through a generous gift from Martha Rivers Ingram ’57, has auditorium-style seating in the very space where water once stood. The new rehearsal and studio space and home of Vassar’s repertory dance theater, VRDT, joins an overall renovation of Kenyon by Gluckman Mayner Architects, including the addition of six new “smart” classrooms.
