The Photographers

Reflections

It seemed almost unbefitting to come back as an “alum photographer”—at the time I was only a few months removed from being a Vassar student and a Vassar College Relations photographer. I still knew a large portion of the student population, and trying to get candid shots as a “fly on the wall” was nearly impossible. But I appreciated the fluidity of roles as student, faculty, employee and alumnus. It really is a self-sufficient community in many ways.
