First Annual Alumnae/i Sons and Daughters Program Deemed a Success

AAVC and the Vassar College Office of Admission launched a new program in December 2001 designed to help familiarize high school juniors of alumnae/i parents with the college selection and admission process. This successful program included informative sessions, a mock admission committee exercise, and, for the participating students, class visiting and an overnight stay with a current Vassar student.

The second annual Sons and Daughters program will be offered Nov. 17 and 18, 2002. Because we do not have sufficient data to help identify alumnae/i who are parents of high school juniors, we will target a range of classes to invite. Available spaces are limited to the first 40 students; therefore, we must ask that only high school juniors be registered. If you have a child who will be a high school junior in November and wish to be added to the mailing list, please email Catherine Lunn, associate director alumnae/i relations at calunn@vassar.edu or telephone her at 845.437.5443.
