2003 Vassar Show House and Gardens: Ivy Cottage in Exton, PA

This historic home was built by the Thomas family in 1799. The core house is a magnificent Pennsylvania “double door” farmhouse, with Victorian embellishments added in the 1880s. The 37th annual Vassar Show House and Gardens opens to the public on May 3 and runs through May 26; Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m. Admission is $20, and all proceeds provide scholarships for Philadelphia-area students attending Vassar.
