2004 Vassar Show House and Gardens: Derlwyn in Villanova, PA

This beautiful Federal Revival mansion may be one of the Main Line's best-kept secrets. More than 20 interior designers and 9 landscape architects will transform the large, airy rooms inside the house and the rolling lawns and mature trees of the mansion's grounds. The 38th annual Vassar Show House and Gardens opens to the public on May 8 and runs through May 31. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday evenings, 6 to 8:30 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m. Admission is $20, and all proceeds provide scholarships for Philadelphia-area students attending Vassar.
